Skipper Temba Bavuma eased South Africa’s nerves after their shaky start in the powerplay. At the end of the Powerplay, the Proteas found themselves in a spot of bother in a modest 85-run chase, having lost three wickets in the forms of Quinton de Kock, Reeza Hendricks, and Aiden Markram. Bavuma crafted a mature 31 to guide South Africa home, with the win knocking both Bangladesh and Sri Lanka out of the T20 World Cup 2021.
