Sri Lanka spinner Wanindu Hasaranga on Saturday became only the third bowler in history to bag a hat-trick in T20 World Cups. In a hard-fought game against South Africa in Sharjah, Hasaranga’s first dismissal of Aiden Markram marked Sri Lanka’s comeback in the game, as the side broke a gritty 47-run stand in the 142-run chase. Hasaranga went on to dismiss South Africa captain Temba Bavuma on 46, enabling Sri Lanka’s tight grip on the contest before steering the side to the brink of win with a third-consecutive dismissal in Dwaine Pretorius.
