Kusal Perera’s eyes lit up when he was served a hit-me ball into his arc by Mitchell Starc and he meted out the punishment it deserved. He mowed it over wide long-on with a bat swing as clean as a whistle. However, the left-arm pacer fought redemption with immediate effect, sending down a fast and furious yorker to hit timber. Starc has not been at his lethal best of late, but the brute of a delivery to dismiss Perera will give him a lot of confidence.
