Shaheen Afridi and Pakistan got off to the perfect start in their colossal T20 World Cup Super 12 contest with India on Sunday. Having won the toss and elected to bowl, Babar Azam’s decision seemed immediately vindicated as Rohit Sharma fell first ball to a beauty of an inswinging yorker from the young left-armer. After claiming that wicket Afridi pressed on, cutting KL Rahul in half with a slightly shorter one that swung just as prodigiously and crashed into middle stump. It left India 6/2 after 2.1 overs.
