(Photo) Sri Lanka surge to stunning victory

Sri Lanka came out unlikely yet comfortable winners in their Super 12 T20 World Cup fixture against Bangladesh on Sunday, claiming the victory by five wickets. After the Tigers had put on 171/4 in their batting innings, the task looked a tough one for Sri Lanka. It was made even more so when they lost Kusal Perera in the first over, and again when a good partnership between Pathum Nissanka and Charith Asalanka was brought to an end with the former’s wicket. The latter went on though, making an incredible 80 not out off 49 deliveries to get his side over the line with seven balls to spare.
