Australia were able to get over the line against South Africa in the opening game of the Super 12 stage of the T20 World Cup. The game was a thrilling way to start this section of the tournament, with South Africa seemingly facing a sizeable loss after putting on just 118/9 from their twenty overs. However, Australia stumbled throughout their chase, with Marcus Stoinis the one to steady the ship right at the end with 24 not out, the men in green and gold winning by five wickets with just two balls to spare.
