Gerhard Erasmus and David Wiese entwined to chase down Ireland’s modest 125 and facilitate Namibia’s historic progression through to the Super 12 stage in the T20 World Cup 2021. There was an overflowing sense of euphoria in the middle as Wiese hit the winning runs, with the striker letting out a roar and skipper Erasmus at the other end crashing to his knees trying to process what his team has done after that terrible loss in the campaign opener. The dug-out looked all vibrant and a few players spread across the boundary circumference to make their excitement known.
