(Photo) Oman dealt an early blow after choosing to bat first

It was quite an interesting call from Oman to have a bat first in their T20 World Cup clash against Bangladesh. Skipper Zeeshan Maqsood opined he wanted to give his batters freedom to express themselves as he expects spinners to get help from the surface. However, Oman got off to a bad start with Jatinder Singh being run-out off the second ball itself. He pushed it firmly to mid-on and thought the run was on, set off, but his partner wasn’t keen and he seemed to have grounded his bat before Singh crossed him, so it’s the striker who had to make the long walk back.
