Dasun Shanaka didn’t roll his arm over in Sri Lanka’s opening game of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup against Namibia but the skipper provided a spectacular moment on the field. Positioned at catching mid-wicket, Shanaka was quick to react to a leading-edge coming off the bat of Ruben Trumpelmann as he outstretched his right arm to complete a fine sliding grab. He also gave a good account of himself as captain given Sri Lanka reduced Namibia to a paltry 96 batting first. The islanders hunted down the total with more than six overs to spare.
