Chris Woakes is preparing in Oman ahead of the beginning of the T20 World Cup on October 17, after withdrawing from the resumption of the IPL with a lengthy stretch away from home in mind. However, speaking to reporters, Woakes explained that he was not expecting to return to England’s T20 fold, believing that the side had perhaps moved on from him after he went so long without playing. Indeed, he has only played 10 Internationals in the format, but will no doubt have a huge role with bat and ball for his country in the weeks to come.
