The Kolkata Knight Riders have beaten the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the first eliminator for the Indian Premier League Final, knocking out Virat Kohli’s side from this year’s competition for good. RCB batted first and looked to have fallen short after a decent start, stumbling to 138/7 off their twenty overs. KKR looked to be heading serenely to the total before they lost the wickets of Rana, Narine and Karthik, but recovered from their wobble, with Shakib Al Hasan and Eoin Morgan guiding their side through the closing stages.
