England were filmed having their first training session ahead of the beginning of the T20 World Cup on October 17. The likes of Jonny Bairstow and Jos Buttler were pictured giving the ball a whack in the nets, and Mark Wood and Chris Woakes were seen going through the motions with the ball. Most of the group consists of players who withdrew from the Indian Premier League given the lengthy stretch away from home that is planned: this World Cup will be immediately followed by travel to Australia for the Ashes down under.
