He supplied a rearguard act worth 55 off 43 balls to usher his franchise to a decent136/5 after they found themselves in a precarious position at 62/4. Five boundaries and a couple of sixes laced Rayudu’s valiant knock as Chennai applauded the return to form of their most dependable batsman over the years. The timing was opportune as well, given the playoffs are around the corner.
