Tim Bresnan accounted for Luke Wells in the Bob Willis Trophy final as Lancashire slid to 94 for the loss of two wickets, trailing by 346 runs. It hasn’t been the most prolific season for the all-rounder, but that was a key wicket indeed. He got the ball to jag away a touch outside the off-stump as Wells couldn’t resist having a poke, offering a clear edge through to the keeper. The southpaw was chugging along nicely in the middle, having scored a brisk 41 off 55 balls.
