Alex Davies was run out for 11 by Craig Miles on the morning of day three at Lord’s. Lancashire are staring down the barrel in the Bob Willis Trophy Final, having been skittled for 78 on day one and conceded a 440-run lead as Warwickshire put on 518 in their first dig. Having started rather more serenly, Davies attempted to steal a single off the back foot to extra cover, but Miles was too quick, sprinting in and acrobatically throwing down the stumps. It left Lancs 23/1 and with all sorts of work to do to avoid defeat.
