Steve Smith opened the innings for Delhi Capitals alongside Shikhar Dhawan in the match against Kolkata Knight Riders, although he couldn’t quite keep the tempo up during his iffy 39 off 34 deliveries. The Australian even miscued Lockie Ferguson’s slower ball onto his thigh pad as he attempted a ramp shot on the first ball of the 13th over. It was a painful blow and Smith took a while to get back on his feet.
