They saw their chances of victory made slim by a healthy total of 171/6 from KKR, with runs being made by Rahul Tripathi and Nitish Rana. However, an excellent start from the top three of Ruturaj Gaikwad, Faf du Plessis and Moeen Ali set CSK on their way. Ravindra Jadeja proved the decisive influence, however, hitting 22 off 8 deliveries to draw the scores level.
