Amy Jones went to a breezy fifty for England in their fifth One Day International against New Zealand at the Spitfire Ground on Sunday. It came as the home side looked to post a match-winning total having made a superb start. Tammy Beaumont and Lauren Winfield-Hill put on 95 for the first wicket, the former going on to hit a magnificent hundred off 111 balls. As she did so, England found themselves 262/3 after 42 overs, with a clear opportunity to rub some salt into the White Ferns’ wounds and take the series 4-1.
