(Photo) Late fireworks take KKR towards daunting total

In their Sunday-afternoon IPL clash with the Chennai Super Kings, the Kolkata Knight Riders looked to be heading for a below-par total at 89/4 when Ravindra Jadeja dismissed the well-set and dangerous-looking Rahul Tripathi for 45. However, their lower-middle order fired emphatically to drag them towards the very much defendable score of 171/6 off their 20. They had Nitish Rana, Andre Russell and Dinesh Karthik to thank for much of it. The trio hit 37 not out off 27, 20 off 15 and 26 off 11 respectively to put Eoin Morgan’s side in the driver’s seat.
