Tom Banton, so often Kent’s tormenter, seemed a shadow of his former shot-making self on Finals Day at Edgbaston. The 22-year-old has struggled for form all season, and the Blast Final itself was no different as he was done by a beauty from Joe Denly on the second ball of Somerset’s chase. The delivery pitched on off stump and turned lavishly past the outside edge and into the gloves of Sam Billings. Banton had been lured out of his crease, his foot beyond the line, and the Kent skipper accordingly whipped the bails off in a flash.
Ball of the Dentury 😉
