Great minds link alike: Guerilla Cricket teams up with leading Indian website

Today, we mark the beginning of what we hope will be a long and fruitful partnership with CricTracker, a website based in India.

Their site will carry our commentary and we hope to interact with their readers/viewers on Twitter and Facebook and get a real perspective from India on how this series is being viewed – not to mention series in the future such as the World Cup next year.

The site, like Guerilla Cricket, is the result of the passion and commitment of its creators, who are Syed Sujjad, the chief executive, Ankit Mishra, the editor-in-chief, and Sai Kishore, the social media manager, and a worldwide team of more than 150 writers.

Take a look and discover, among many other things, the real reason the Indian team only wanted a three-day game at Chelmsford as a warm-up for this series, predictions for the Caribbean Pemier League and the latest on Mohammed Shami’s off-field battles.

Sujjad said: “CricTracker is a bunch of young and passionate cricket fans from around India working on a singular objective i.e. to connect with millions and more around the world and spread the love for this beautiful game.

“We started back in 2013 and it was just a hobby then. In the next few years we’ve managed to not only turn it into our profession but have built a platform for likeminded people to contribute to the sport.

“While doing that we’ve managed to touch millions not only in India but around the globe

serving them content that is more than plain information. CricTracker is known for its 360˚

coverage as we try to present various perspectives and angles in and around the game.

“We’ve successfully built a community of over 10 million fans on Facebook and over a million

on Instagram. With Guerilla Cricket’s commentary we want our fans to get an experience of

something that’s never been served on our platform before. Live commentary during the

England vs India Test matches on their preferred portal with experts, journalists and

comedians – it just cannot get better.

He added: “On the website front, CricTracker covers a wide range of articles from news, trending stories to pre-match previews, analysis and reviews. Our focus is not just on the men’s international matches, but also female cricket, county matches and

other T20 leagues in the world.

“We have an average of over 20 million page views a month, and are ranked among the top 300 websites in India.

“We’re pleased to be working with Guerilla Cricket, another passionate cricket centric

platform. The style of commentary I am sure will strike a chord with our fans on Facebook

and we’re looking forward to a fruitful association to enrich the experience of CricTracker

fans.
