Shaheen Shah Afridi is set to wear the number 10 jersey for Pakistan in the upcoming three-match ODI series against New Zealand. The shirt number is the same that was worn by the great Shahid Afridi, and Shaheen has expressed the honour he feels to be filling some sizeable shoes. Shahid played 27 Tests, 398 One Day Internationals and 99 T20Is for his country, plundering over 11,000 international runs in the swashbuckling fashion that earned him the nickname “Boom Boom”. His leg-spinners have been deceiving batsmen throughout, and proved their continued worth in the KPL this year.
