Nottinghamshire’s Liam Patterson-White spun a web around Hampshire to bag a five-wicket haul in the County Championship clash at Southampton. Although all of his victims belonged to the lower order, the left-arm’s fifer was instrumental in skittling Hampshire for 178 in their second innings, leaving Nottinghamshire with 250 to chase. Haseeb Hameed’s early departure will be a cause of concern among the Notts camp, though the two Ben’s – Duckett and Slater are steadying the ship.
