The T20I series between India and Sri Lanka in June turned out to be a trainwreck with the novel coronavirus breaching the bio-bubble. It was nothing short of a miracle that the series reached its conclusion given the logistical nightmare of isolation and multiple rapid antigen tests. However, the silver lining to India’s cloud was Rahul Chahar, whose performances on the tour earned him a berth in India’s squad for the T20 World Cup. Currently in the UAE, the wily leg-spinner was overjoyed by the news and received best wishes from his Mumbai Indians teammates.
