Pacemen Tymal Mills, David Willey and Chris Woakes have been included in England’s 15-man preliminary squad for the T20 World Cup in UAE and Oman, although there is no place for Ben Stokes, an omission along expected lines as the all-rounder has taken an indefinite break from all cricket to look after his mental well-being. Sam Billings has been roped in as the back-up batsman in the squad while Liam Livingstone’s inclusion was a foregone conclusion after his barnstorming summer in white-ball cricket for England and Birmingham Phoenix in The Hundred.
