Sri Lanka thrashed South Africa in the final one-dayer to take home the series 2-1. Debutant spinner Maheesh Theekshana lit up the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo to lay the bricks of his team’s massive 78-run victory over the Proteas.
Theekshana enjoyed a fairytale debut as he snapped up a four-wicket haul at the cost of 37 runs. The off-spinner sent Janneman Malan, Heinrich Klaasen, Kagiso Rabada and skipper Keshav Maharaj packing as Sri Lanka bundled out the visitors for a meagre 125.
