Hampshire put behind an ignominious first-innings batting display to eke out a win against Warwickshire in the 2021 County Championship. Having done exceedingly well to concede a lead of just 27 runs, the Hampshire batsmen gave a better account of themselves in the second dig to put 322 on the board, leaving Warwickshire with a target of 296 for glory. While Robert Yates and Dom Sibley churned out patient fifties, the dearth of contributions from the men to follow saw Warwickshire fall short of the finish line.
