Harry Brook demonstrated his fearless attitude earlier this summer in the Hundred for the Northern Superchargers, and seems to have taken his scintillating form into this month’s County Championship fixtures. Sat on 92 for Yorkshire in their game against Somerset at Scarborough on Monday, Brook dismissed the old adage of the nervous nineties by striking two boundaries in immediate succession. Brook was eventually dismissed for 118 as Yorkshire reached 229-6 at lunch, 95 ahead of Somerset’s total of 134.
