(Video) Alice Capsey takes control as South East Stars win Charlotte Edwards Cup

The South East Stars beat the Northern Diamonds by five wickets in the Charlotte Edwards Cup Final on Sunday, steered home by Alice Capsey’s supreme 40 not out. The Diamonds had struck a seemingly below-par 138-4 off their 20 overs thanks to Hollie Armitage’s 59 not out, but it looked far off when the Stars collapsed from 71-1 to 85-4. Their first wicket partnership was a fruitful one, with Bryony Smith and Aylish Cranstone hitting 37 and 35 respectively, but Capsey showed a maturity beyond her 17 years as she played the match-winning hand.
