Haseeb Hameed brought up an obdurate half-century just minutes after his opening partner Rory Burns had reached the same milestone and then nicked off to Shardul Thakur. Hameed, just as he did for his 69 at Headingley, looked in good touch, and will be desperate to turn this into a big one after missing out in Leeds. Requiring a record 368 runs, England will need a number of large contributions, and Hameed has the opportunity to signal his summer return to the Three Lions by anchoring his teamโs daunting chase.
