Jasprit Bumrah inflicted a double whammy on England as both the openers were transferred back to the hut in the fourth over of the innings. While Rory Burns chopped on to a lifter that decked back in, Haseeb Hameed got a thick outside edge in a bid to ride the bounce. It was a dream start for the tourists after they had their spirits lifted by Shardul Thakur’s outrageous half-century, which stretched their total to 191.
