His no-holds-barred pyrotechnics put England under the cosh as it rained fours and sixes at The Oval. There were some lucky reprieves in between thanks to sloppy catching and Thakur made the hosts pay, finishing as the top-scorer of Indiaโs innings. Although the lower-order flourish saved their noses, India would be a tad disappointed with their batting effort.
