Virat Kohli has had to ride a little bit of luck in his first innings at the Oval on day one of the fourth Test, being dropped on 22 by Joe Root off the bowling of Chris Woakes. Kohli is searching desperately for a considerable score, and will feel that he is due a slice of fortune. He proceeded to punish the dropped catch as Chris Woakes sent down something of a half volley outside off stump. His eyes lighting up and thinking this could be his day, Kohli clubbed the ball to the extra-cover fence for four in ominous fashion.
