(Video) Aaron Finch’s record-breaking T20I knock in 2013 was a sign of things to come

On this day in 2013, Aaron Finch struck the highest ever T20 International score at the time, bludgeoning 156 off 63 balls against England at the Ageas Bowl. The hosts, spearheaded by the likes of Stuart Broad, were not the white-ball powerhouse they perhaps are nowadays, but the knock from Finch cannot be understated in its genius. Ever since, the current Australian limited-overs captain has cemented himself as one of white-ball cricket’s most destructive batters, and currently holds the record for two of the three highest scores in T20I cricket, having bettered his 156 with 172 against Zimbabwe in 2018.
