Daniell Worrall made the ball dance to his tunes in the Sheffield Shield, Australia’s domestic red-ball competition. At the receiving end was Seb Gotch, who couldn’t have done anything apart from cursing his luck to prevent that peach from uprooting his off-stump. The full snake ball pitched on leg before veering away notoriously in the air to beat the poor batsman’s defences and clip the bails. Gotch’s reaction was that of a gasp fittingly narrating his haplessness.
