Jonny Bairstow was undone by a sliver of seam movement from Mohammed Shami as Virat Virat Kohli grabbed hold of a sharp low chance in the final session on day two at Headingley. This is the third time Bairstow has fallen prey to the thirties bug in the series, although it was not his own fault but Shami’s brilliance that left him wanting today. India even sent the out-of-form Jos Buttler packing shortly thereafter but centurion Joe Root seems to be showing no signs of slowing down.
Shami gets his second wicket of the day, dismissing Bairstow for 29.
