Punjab Kings have brought Adil Rashid on board as a replacement player for the UAE leg of IPL 2021. The 33-year-old England leg-spinner, who topped the wicket charts at The Hundred, replaces Australian pacer Jhye Richardson, who along with compatriot Riley Meredith, has backed out from the second half of the tournament. Punjab’s management had already confirmed the signing of Nathan Ellis as one of the replacements and the acquisition of Rashid balances their quota of eight overseas recruits.
