Batting at one drop, the left-hander transferred his weight ever-so-slightly onto the frontfoot with a compact stride and let his hand-eye coordination do the job. Malan went on to milk three more boundaries as he consolidates England’s position in the company of Haseeb Hameed after Rory Burns got knocked over by Mohammed Shami.
